What to ask a SENCO at the first meeting
Use the first SENCO meeting to understand what the school has noticed, what support is being tried, how progress will be measured and when the plan will be reviewed.

- What needs or barriers has the school identified?
- What support is already in place?
- What is the intended outcome of each intervention?
- How will progress be measured?
- When will support be reviewed?
- What can we do at home without duplicating school work?
- When should we meet again?
