EHCP Section F: what should provision look like?
Section F is the special educational provision section. It should make the support required for the identified needs clear enough to understand what is to be provided.
Information, not legal advice.
Processes can change. Check current official guidance and local procedures.
Questions to ask
- Does Section F address each need identified in Section B?
- Is the provision specific rather than relying only on vague phrases?
- Where relevant, is frequency, amount or staffing clear?
- Does it reflect the professional advice gathered during assessment?
